THINK FRENCH, SOUND FRENCH
The aim of this short language tour is to revise, refresh or even learn for the first time most of what you need to feel at home in Paris. While this is specifically about the language, we also concentrate on the practical side of Parisian life – how the French think, as well as how they speak. It’s an immersion in the life style.
Everyone has a different need. Some want to improve their pronunciation and increase their confidence.
Food fans want to be able to read the menus in restaurants which don’t cater to tourists and don’t provide English menus. A surprisingly large number of people would just love to be able to order perfectly pronounced “Millefeuilles”.
Paris has too much to offer to be confined to a classroom all day.
We also know that spending time conjugating verbs holds no appeal. Phrase books don’t cover all the bases and can’t give you confidence in the pronunciation.
A NEW CONCEPT FOR SOPHISTICATED TRAVELLERS
Like all our itineraries, the language course is tailor-made to suit each individual or group’s needs. Emphasis is given to general communication, vocabulary and pronunciation.
One-on-one tuition is proving to be the most effective, with private lessons starting from 2 hours and available at any level from Beginners, right through to fluent speakers.
The most popular option is a full day (often, a series of full days) which includes a class followed by an afternoon practice session. You will communicate what has been learnt during the lesson on an outing with the tutor or one of our experts from the ‘French Style’ program (the food expert is a favorite!).
Classes can also be organized for small groups, once again with the actual content being tailor-made.
An example of a program for either an individual or a small group can be found here.
